FAQ's

Do you do Custom Swimwear?

Yes! We can produce Custom swimwear, towels, hats, scrunchies and much more!

Whether you need that special pair for your mate's birthday, or are getting the whole team decked out in matching swim gear, we've got you sorted ;)

1. How?

If you are needing less than 10 pairs, head over to our DIY section on our website and design your own! Click here

For more than 10 items, our Custom team can help you. Either use the online form here, or email us at auscustoms@budgysmuggler.com.au

2. How long do Custom items take?

Our production Smugglers will work their hardest to get your items made within 3-4 weeks. Then they will be shipped to you.

You will receive emails updating you on the progress of your order at each step.

3. Can I get them faster?

Not always, but depending on volume coming through the pipeline, we might be able to get them through faster than the ETA you've been given.

4. The confirmation page shows a white pair, have you got my actual design?

Yes! Not to worry, the image you are seeing is just our default product image. We will reach out to you if there are any obvious issues with your design.

5. Can you make changes to my DIY design after I have submitted my order?

No, sorry. Once your order has been paid for, it is sent to the factory to be printed. No changes can be made.

If you need to change a size, the order will need to be cancelled (and a fee charged) and a new order will need to be placed.

6. I want to add an image to my design, what are the requirements?

To cover the full area of the design, you will need an image of 3800px x 2600px @200dpi.

Uploaded images should be either jpg, gif, png, ai, pdf or svg.

How do I return or exchange my order?

No worries! For AUS and US customers, use our Return and Exchange portal here

Returns are free from AUS/USA!

1. Follow the steps to process your return.

2. If you're exchanging, you will receive an email with a link to pay for the new shipping of the new item/s.

3. You will receive another email with a paid shipping label for the return of the unwanted item/s. Attach this to your sealed parcel and pop into a post box to send them back to our warehouse.

4. Our helpful crew will process your return once it arrives, and you will either be refunded or your new exchange items will be dispatched.

What if I received the wrong item / a faulty item?

Head over to our returns portal and process an exchange for the same item you should have received.

Make sure you select 'received wrong item' as the exchange reason.

You will not have to pay for the return!

I have a query about my order

1. Why hasn't my order been shipped yet?

We aim to get all orders dispatched within 48 hours after the order has been placed.

If you have ordered a Custom item, or a made-to-order, these will take approx 3-4 weeks to be made at our factory, then will be dispatched once ready.

2. I received the wrong item in my delivery.

Sorry about that! Please use our Returns Portal to process an exchange for the correct item. You won't be charged any extra and your correct item will be shipped straight away.

3. I need to make a change to my order.

Changes can be made to orders up to 30mins after your order has been submitted. After this, please reach out to our team for assistance here

4. I have only received part of my order.

Double check your shipping confirmation emails, as your order could have been dispatched in separate shipments from difference locations (depending on stock availability).

If you believe something is still missing from your delivery, please contact our team for assistance.

5. The courier has marked my order as delivered, but I don't have it.

Double check the shipping details on your order are correct. Also check your mailbox ;)

There's an issue with my order

1. My product hasn't arrived in perfect condition, or the quality isn't what I expected.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, and if you are not 100% satisfied with your new item, we are happy to refund for you here.

If you've worn your item and it's not looking/feeling like you'd hoped, please reach out to our team for some assistance at budgy@budgysmuggler.com.au.

Kindly include:

  • A photo or two showing the issue
  • A photo of the inner label
  • Your order number

2. I received the wrong item.

Oh no! So sorry about that!

Kindly use our Returns portal here, and select that you received the wrong item and you won't need to pay any postage. Your correct item will be dispatched straight away, and a shipping label will be sent to your email for the return of the wrong item.

I have a stock question

1. When do you restock?

Our swimwear is usually restocked weekly from our Sydney factory, although not every print/style/size is restocked every week.

If you are absolutely needing a particular item that is showing out of stock online, reach out to our team here, and we will do our best to work out when that item may be restocked.

Alternatively you can order any past/current unlicensed designs from our Customs team - auscustoms@budgysmuggler.com.au. They will take 4 weeks to produce and incur a $20 custom fee.

2. How do I know when the item I want is restocked?

If the item is due to be restocked, you can click on the out of stock size on the product page, and click on 'email me when available'. Then you will receive an email notification as soon as that item is back in stock :)
